Entertainment

Warner Bros to release over 5,000 never before available movies on DVD. These are the titles that they figured wouldn't sell well. Still, it's nice for fans of those older movies that they're finally getting a release as DVD nears the end of its run.

Looks like we'll be getting an extended final episode, as well as a few other extended episodes, when BSG hits DVD: The BATTLESTAR GALACTICA finale you didn't see and DVD version Of BSG's finale will include a Cylon love triangle

Have we seen the end of R-Rated blockbusters? The continued PG-13ification of America marches on!

NBC affiliates worried about the Jay Leno show at 10, will NBC care? I'm sure everybody *not* running the NBC network realizes that Leno at 10 is a bad idea and waste of primetime air.

Problems with NBC's PARKS & RECREATION. It sounds like the show is as terribly unfunny as every commercial I've seen for it so far has been. I'll probably give it a chance, but my hopes and expectations that the show will be good are virtually non-existent.

Set phasers for shitty hipsters. SciFi Syfy aren't the only ones who seem to want to ditch the core audience of sci-fi fans. The STAR TREK people want to attract people who normally wouldn't watch STAR TREK (unless they were trying to be "ironic") to the new movie.

DOCTOR WHO: Easter Sunday for first special I was wondering when the specials would start airing. I really just sort of want them to be over with. I just want to see Tennant regenerate into the new guy and for Moffat's reign to begin already.

THE IT CROWD season 2 is coming out in the US on DVD. The first season finally comes out in the US next week, and it's been announced that season two will follow on June 30th. Buy them, you won't regret it.

Video Games

EVERY violent rampage ever is linked to videogames now! Stupidity is universal!

In Wake of German Rampage, Harvard Crimson Urges Politicians to Look at Guns, Not Games. Finally somebody states the obvious! "More of the weight of such crimes must fall on the parents and others who leave such weapons in reach... Stricter penalties and regulations on gun sales could help keep such weapons out of troubled hands, but, as long as licensed guns are available, we must work harder to keep them secure."

BIOSHOCK 2 isn't just "BIOSHOCK 2" after all It will be keeping the "Sea of Dreams" subtitle.

Korean report: Sony halting PS3 supply. Sony got pissed that the Japanese were buying PS3s cheaper in Korea, and bringing them back to Japan. Man, Sony just suck don't they? They clearly hate their customers.

PETA slams Activision over dog killing in CALL OF DUTY: WORLD AT WAR. I think most rational people who think cruelty to animals is bad still think PETA are a bunch of douchebags. I guess they missed the dog killing in CALL OF DUTY 4: MODERN WARFARE, which came out a year or two before the game they're bitching about. Meanwhile, Activision barks back at PETA on CALL OF DUTY: WORLD AT WAR. They point out the obvious, "Dogs are included in the game for authenticity since they were used extensively by German, Japanese, U.S. and Soviet troops during the war. Activision in no way endorses or condones cruelty to animals, and we don’t believe the game will encourage cruelty in any way." Honestly, these people getting upset about imaginary cruelty to

GOD OF WAR III is too violent for the internet, Sony says. Have any of the people working at Sony ever actually been on the internet? Honestly, "too violent for the internet" is one of the dumbest statements I've ever read.

Sigourney Weaver Replaced By Alyssa Milano in Ghostbusters Video Game. I guess since Weaver turned the role down, which she apparently now regrets, they went with another name. "It was a bad call Ripley. A bad call."

The Rest

Populist outrage over AIG bonuses scaring private investors away from buying toxic assets. Well, isn't that a good thing?

Obama sides with RIAA, supports $150,000 fine per music track. Is anybody really surprised by this? His administration is made up of MPAA/RIAA supporters, the Vice President being the biggest among them.

Consumer groups, phone companies spar over U.S. stimulus. Basically these consumer groups want to make sure that net neutrality doesn't get killed off by the stimulus.
