Bid to ban "extremist" U.S. cartoon. Some people in Russia want SOUTH PARK banned over there. So, the uptight idiots in that country are only about a decade or so behind uptight idiots in the US, who have long since moved onto wanting to "protect" society from that TV show. Stupid people who want to control what other people can watch (or play, or do, etc) are everywhere.
It looks like high fructose corn syrup manufacturers are getting a little nervous. Those commercials are hilarious. Nobody can come up with the obvious, "well, it makes you fat," answer. Propaganda ahoy!
Convenience leads PRISON BREAK fans to shun streams for P2P. If anybody is scratching their heads as to why people prefer to download TV shows "illegally" rather than go to the official streaming sites the networks have, it's simple. The official sites usually have unskippable ads, which I'm sure drives some people to the grey-area alternative. However, the second reason is the bigger reason. People outside of the US usually can't stream videos from official network sites. They also have to wait months for things to show up over there. So if they can't use the legal streams, and if they don't want to wait, they have to download. That's why P2P TV download numbers are still high, even if there is an free official online source to watch shows.
Harold Ramis writes on GHOSTBUSTERS 3. I have a feeling this will be a bad bad bad idea.
Coming Soon: 1 GB fiber broadband. Just not in the U.S. Even if it did show up here, they'd probably want to cap it, and at that speed you'd probably blow through you cap in anywhere from a few hours to a day. Seriously, capping on fast bandwidth is like making a car that can go 300mph and you can only drive it in your driveway.
