My Google Reader seems to fill up with hundreds of items every few hours. (I need to prune my feeds.) So, since I like sharing interesting stories, here's another batch today.
Lawyers in YouTube lawsuit reach privacy deal. Basically, any identifying info of regular users won't be shared.
Stolen bank data gets cheaper on Web: report. Scary, isn't it?
Estimating the time-to-own of an unpatched Windows PC. It takes about 4 minutes for a unpatched Windows machine hooked up to the internet without a router to get infected with crap. That's crazy.
Yet another report on why forcing a la carte cable is a bad idea. News stories about cable are starting to have the same effect on me that stories about the RIAA and MPAA have.
The Piracy Dilemma. More and more businesses are turning to pirated software due to the high costs of the legit stuff. (I guess they've never heard of things like Linux and Open Office.)
Economics and accuracy lost in "Brangelina" baby rush. Why would anybody pay anything, let alone millions of dollars, for pictures of a baby? Who even cares? Even worse are these celebrities who are scummy enough to sell the pictures. Ugh.
Heroes webisodes launched yesterday. This time they rip off yet another Marvel comics character, Banshee from the X-Men.
Unsurprising news: Federal Reserve Chairman thinks high gas prices are here to stay. It's a shame they can't manufacture a bullshit powered vehicle.
Wait to buy! HDTVs about to get even cheaper. With gas prices rising steadily people will need nice TVs to watch as they sit around unable to afford going anywhere.
Diamond Dave turns out to be fake. Remember when news outlets were reporting that David Lee Roth almost died because of an allergic reaction to nuts? Well, it wasn't him. I guess the real Diamond Dave "loves nuts". Read into that what you will.
