Yarr

Porn stars decry piracy in new video (SFW). Oh no! If you download or stream porn for free, these poor people won't be able to fuck for money anymore! This won't just effect porn, think what this economic loss will mean to the coke and crystal meth dealers of California. Seriously though, judging from the people in this vid, pro porn is full of ugly people. Amateur stuff, which will never go away, so much better.

"Child pornography is great," anti-pirates say. Because they can use it as an excuse to try and implement filters on the internet.

Is just talking about infringing content infringing? Any day now, it will be.

RIAA gets AFL-CIO to support performance tax: payments in perpetuity for a small amount of work. So they're one step closer to charging radio stations (the same ones they used to bribe to play their music) for playing music.

Entertainment

Roger Ebert: Why I hate 3-D (and you should too). Because it's a stupid and expensive gimmick designed to enable the studios to charge more money without enhancing the films whatsoever.

Fox to adapt Ed Brubaker’s comic book INCOGNITO. I would've preferred an adaptation of his CRIMINAL series of comics instead.

Could THE OFFICE survive without Steve Carell? I think it's time to just call it a day. The show has been going steadily downhill the last few seasons.

CHUCK fans plan rally support for series. I love the show, but this sort of thing seems silly. Plus, I read that it's got a really good chance of getting renewed.

Bell 'campaigns for VERONICA MARS film'. Hasn't that ship sailed?

Chris Hemsworth's Thor: First official pic makes us believers. Never into Thor, but they did a good job here.

BATMAN 3 gets an official release date. 2012. Just before the supposed end of the world.

WALKING DEAD finds its Lori. It's the hot woman doctor from PRISON BREAK. Boo-yah!

"Nightmare" scares off box-office competition. This is how remakes keep getting made: despite poor reviews from reviewers and fans, this managed to be #1. I don't know why this story has a picture of the original Freddy actor instead of a still from the movie or a pic of the new guy.

Video Games

Spanish mag gives ALAN WAKE 93/100; says its 16 hours long. Long is good. Forgot AW was a 360 exclusive. Means I may have to pick up a replacement Xbox sooner than I planned.

DEAD SPACE 2 trailer officially official. Really enjoyed the first one, definitely plan on picking the one up.

Activision to shut down Infinity Ward, says analyst. They might not have to, more people jump ship from there every day.

Activision announces CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS. I'm sure it'll sell despite the bad publicity over the Infinity Ward thing and despite being from the inferior COD developer. The name alone guarantees sales.

Activision to publish Bungie's new games. I always thought the HALO games were over-rated, personally.

Bungie Deal is similar to what former Infinity Ward heads were seeking. I wonder if firing the guys who created the biggest selling game of all time was a money saving measure so they could afford Bungie? Doesn't make much sense though.

Two additional Tom Clancy games under development. One is probably the next RAINBOW SIX, so I'll pick that up.

What if Kratos had moved beyond the Greek gods? Guess that's a possibility for the next GOD OF WAR game, right?
