First, my 360 has started to freeze again. Now, maybe I just need to pop it back open and tighten up the screws on my repair job a bit and it'll work fine again. Still, I'm planning on starting to set some money aside so I can just buy a replacement Xbox. I'll just get one of the newer, supposedly more reliable, Arcade units. Not a big priority right now though, since I did finish the last game I planned on buying for the 360 for quite some time. (If I do pick up DEAD RISING 2, it'll probably be for the PS3, even though the 360 version will have an extra story mode.) In the meantime, any gaming urges I have can be taken care of with the PS3 (just restarted the first UNCHARTED) or the PC.
Second, after having a winning morning at poker, I lost the buy-in and a half I made in the morning, and another 3 and half buy-ins on top of that in the late afternoon and evening. I sat there for five hours, and I just could not win. I'd either get lousy cards, get good starting cards and miss the flop (vs players who don't fold so bluffing isn't much of an option) or I'd get the money in way ahead and get sucked out on. Just variance, I know, but it's not a good omen for the rest of the month.
