James Bond is Suspended, Indefinitely. I wonder if this will turn into a situation where there's a huge gap and they wind up having to change actors like between LICENCE TO KILL and GOLDENEYE.
STAR WARS box set in works. Due in the Fall of 2011? That's a Blu-ray set. I don't know if I'd buy it. I'm tired of buying these movies over and over again in different formats (VHS, laserdisc, DVD), in some cases multiple versions. I'm not the only one: No, George Lucas, I will NOT buy STAR WARS on Blu-Ray.

American anime pioneer Carl Macek passes away. Wow, that's shocking. I remember loving ROBOTECH as a kid, and still have some fondness for it, even though I moved on to the original unedited versions of the shows that got hacked up and re-written into ROBOTECH.
Gatchaman Trailer: A Look at a Movie We May Never See. I loved BATTLE OF THE PLANETS as a kid, and was psyched as an adult to get bootleg VHS copies of the show in the early 90's (it wasn't commecially available back then). Then I was able to see some of the original, unedited (read: chopped up horribly for US TV) versions of GATCHAMAN. This looks like it would've been cool.
Leonard Nimoy retires from acting, for good this time. Well, he is almost 80. Shatner's still cranking along though!
