Had a bad poker morning. So much for my plan to play until BIOSHOCK 2 got here. Once I lost 3.5 buy-ins, I decided to stop playing for the day. Rather than go crazy and keep playing when it clearly isn't my day and I'm not in the mental state to play my best game, quitting it the best option.
So, I decided to pot the hand that made me give up this morning.

Now, I had watched this guy stack off with complete garbage over a good amount of hands. In fact, he got lucky on a few other hands against me. At one point he even had a bigger stack than me. Then he donked it all off by playing any two cards, and doing it poorly.
Flop: I should be worried about him having KK, JJ, 55, or KJ. But I've seen him donking into the PFR with complete garbage multiple times. My mistake was flatting his donk bet instead of raising. Letting him hang himself by letting him bet and commit himself to the pot with a weaker hand worked for everybody else at the table previously, so that's the line I decided to take.
Turn: His line here doesn't make much sense. Unless he's got AT. I'm thinking that a shove here vs this particular player is usually a weak Kx or Jx hand hoping to fold out better.
And of course I get coolered on the river. (Not the first time vs this clown either.)

just a sick beat against the normal donks. I want to know what goes through their heads sometimes
You're right. Still, a big leak of mine is getting a bit tilted after these sorts of hands. It seems like I get a bad beat like this and then things just decline rapidly from there. I stay and wind up donking off more than I would've if I had just stopped for a bit and came back to the computer later.
As for what goes through their heads, my guess would be complete air.
