Entertainment

Live-action STAR WARS series is leaking details. Sounds kinda lame to me. I've never bothered with the animated TV stuff, aside from owning the first animated CLONE WARS DVD. I never watched the CGI show or whatever. I don't see myself wanting to watch a live action show.

THE LOSERS bumped back to summer 2010. Not that long of a delay, just about two months.

Jack Bauer and 24 to torture terrorists on the big screen! Not new news, since it's been talked about for years now, but apparently they've hired a writer for a movie version of 24.

New Line ready for another VACATION. Again, not new news, but one of the writers was the geeky kid from FREAKS AND GEEKS.

Secrets of the new BLACK HOLE: Maximilian returns! The original is the first movie I can remember seeing in theaters. Maybe that's why I'm still fond of it despite it's flaws. A remake could be interesting, but generally I'm not nuts about the non-stop glut of remakes coming out of Hollywood.

ESCAPE FROM NY remake struggles to freedom. Another John Carpenter movie that doesn't need a remake or prequel.

Bellman would team with Moffat on WHO. The interesting part is: she would "drop everything" to work with him again. Considering she's only appeared in tiny chunks of this season of LEVERAGE, I wonder if she's on her way out the door on there.

Cuse and Lindelof give some clues about the LOST timeline(s). Not much of a hint really.

It's official: next SPIDER-MAN will be 3-D. Ugh. Somebody let me know when this latest 3-D fad is over.

The co-screenwriter of TERMINATOR 1 and 2 has written treatments for TERMINATOR 5 and 6. I still haven't seen 4 yet, but 3 was pretty crappy. Hopefully involvment from one of the writers of the original two could make for a good flick.

VIdeo Games

BIOSHOCK's widescreen issues return for the sequel. Only on the PC. So, not something I had to deal with on the PS3 version.

BIOSHOCK has “many stories” that can be told, says 2K. Yeah, I fully expect this to be a franchise that gets milked to death.

Speaking of milked franchises: Activision has CALL OF DUTY 7 loaded for holiday.

DEAD RISING 2 arriving August 31, exclusive prologue headed to 360. So far there's no plan to release the prologue for the PS3. Well, I guess that could tip the scales in favor of me getting the Xbox version. While we're at it, .

ALAN WAKE shipping May 18, new trailer released. Looking forward to this, and now there's a solid release date.

At first, DEAD SPACE 2 PC “not on the plan”. Now... DEAD SPACE 2 on PC now "under consideration".

RE5 Gold gets Rebecca and Barry for Mercenaries Reunion. Have some screenshots too: Screens – RE5: Gold’s Rebecca and Barry in action.

Some HEAVY RAIN reviews have started to come in. (I hope it takes me longer to get through HEAVY RAIN than it did BIOSHOCK 2.)

Review: HEAVY RAIN

HEAVY RAIN Review: No Wrong Conclusion

Target wants to scan your ID when you buy M rated games? Say no.. I really don't understand why they would want a scan of your ID.

The Rest

ACTA falling apart? Let's hope so. This sort of over-reaching legal stuff is just bad for innovation and designed to screw consumers just as much as people that are "illegally" downloading things.

Google Buzz makes private contact info public. I haven't been using this new thing, but reading things like this sure don't make me any more inclined to start!

New Windows 7 antipiracy update to phone home regularly. Sounds completely ineffective and just like WGA.
