Windows 7 will cost less than Vista. Well, there's another plus.
Consumers still not sold on Blu-ray. The long war between Blu-ray and HD-DVD did exactly what most people predicted it would do, it basically tanked both formats. Couple that with people who can't tell the difference between HD and a DVD, and a worldwide economic crisis, and it seems that Blu-ray missed the boat.
The Usual Stuff About The Usual Bastards
How The Entertainment Industry 'Launders' Policy Pronouncements. Smoke and mirrors kids. Smoke and mirrors! (For a bit more detailed look at this sort of thing, check out: Creating worthless copyright "consensus": Canada's case study.)
Pirate Bay retrial denied. So, guess what the Pirate Bay guys turned around and decided to do? The Pirate Bay to Sue Sweden for human rights violations. In many ways, the PB guys are more entertaining than anything anybody has ever torrented through their site.
Connecticut town tells ASCAP, BMI, SESAC to get lost over royalty bills. Good for them!

The third series of THE IT CROWD is getting a region 1 release in September. While I own the region 2 releases of the first two series, I've been waiting on buying the third one. I've been waiting for either the price to drop in general, or for the exchange rate to get better so that I don't wind up spending an arm and a leg for just six episodes. So, I might pick up the US version instead.
COWBOY BEBOP will stay true to the show. I highly doubt that.
Jolie 'furious' at Megan Fox playing Lara Croft. Two vastly over-rated "hot" chicks in a possible feud over a role in a horrible adaptation of a decent video game. Yawn. I didn't even know that Fox was cast. Or is that just a rumor?
Fall schedules are trickling in: CBS Fall Premiere Dates and NBC announces fall premiere dates.
Jeri Ryan gains "LEVERAGE" at TNT. I watch this show, so I guess I care.
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost say hello from the set of PAUL. Nothing all that exciting really. Been awhile since I've seen Nick Frost in anything. Probably the last time I recall seeing him was in the second (and apparently, final) series of HYPERDRIVE.
STAR TREK (2009) Blu-ray details and release date rumours. Definitely a BD purchase for me.
Shockingly enough, no video games stories today.
