Windows XP WGA to mimic that of Windows Vista. The question is, are people running pirated versions of XP dumb enough to download the optional WGA updates?
Fans atwitter over shutdown of "Mad Men" feed. AMC doesn't like free advertising, I guess. I don't understand the mentality of fans so into a show that they pretend to be the characters online. I'm assuming these are adults, because I can't see too many kids being into a show about advertising executives in the early 1960s. Really bored adults at that, if their idea of fun is pretending to be a character from a TV show online. I mean, I stopped pretending to be Batman or Spider-Man when I was sometime between 8 and 10 years old. Still, AMC should be thrilled that a critically acclaimed show with terrible ratings has people willing to promote it for them, and do it for free. Supposedly, AMC caved later in the day, but this sort of dumb move is becoming more and more typical of companies.
Wendy's: You will have your burger with toppings or you will get nothing. I've never been to a Wendy's where they refused to give me my burger plain. (That's how I like 'em. I'm a picky eater. Meat, cheese, bun.) I've had them screw my order up, but never refuse to make a plain burger. So that's just crazy.
Quartermann: MAX PAYNE 3 and new PS3 exclusive coming from Rockstar? I guess the movie coming out will lead to a MAX PAYNE 3. Prior to the announcement of the movie the MAX PAYNE franchise seemed to be dead. Hopefully the new game will be as good as the first, since the original developer, Remedy, isn't involved this time out.
PREACHER series 'dead at HBO'. I forgot this was even supposed to happen. I'd imagine a lot of other people did too. Well, I guess we can go back to forgetting about it.
How to buy a STREET FIGHTER IV arcade cabinet (It's not easy!) If I win the lottery this is one of my very first purchases.
RIAA, MPAA converging on political conventions. Gotta hand out those bribes, don'tcha know!
RIAA's Anti-Piracy Trade Agreement wishlist. I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do with all of my free time when I finally give up on music and movies/TV in disgust of the people running those businesses. That day seems to be closer and closer all the time.

i like news on max payne 3. 2 is one of my favorite games ever. not to many characters left though from it.
the windows xp 'Windoze Geniune (dis)Advantage' isn't something new, i had that happen to me over a year ago, simple solution really, just change the windows key.. generators are easy to find (altho often full of viruses and junk)
Like I said, the thing about MAX PAYNE 3 is that the original developers aren't involved in this one. Instead of just publishing this one, Rockstar are developing it. So I'm cautiously optimistic.
I've never had to worry about WGA, since my laptop came with XP and I run an alternative update manager for my Windows updates on my two desktop machines. I don't want WGA on any of my machines, because I've read too many tales of false positives getting legit XP installs crippled.
