I've seen this story in a few places, so I figured I'd mention it...
Amazon offering release date delivery for big-name games. (via Joystiq) Basically, it costs a few bucks extra, and you get the game on release day instead of a few days later. If you have Prime, which is awesome, you don't even pay the extra fee.
I've had Prime for about two years or so now. The extra fee once the trial period ends is worth it to get your stuff faster. Without Prime, I'd never know when my stuff would arrive. With Prime, it's two business days. In my case with Prime my things usually arrive via UPS (occasionally FedEx), which is better than my terrible mail carrier.
With Amazon Prime you get...
1. Unlimited FREE Two-Day Shipping on millions of Amazon.com Items
2. Overnight Shipping upgrades for only $3.99 per item
3. Shopping with no minimum order size
4. Ability to share benefits with up to 4 household members
5. 1 Month Free Trial
