I love how all of the various movie news blogs that I read are being so vicious to the politically corrent people upset about retard jokes in TROPIC THUNDER. It's that sort of thing that gives me a little hope for humanity. I'm not saying mocking disabled and mentally challenged people is cool. I just think people should be able to laugh at things in non-hateful way without people getting their shorts in a twist about it. The funny thing is, supposedly the movie is making fun of actors who portray retarded people in movies (usually in a bid to win an Oscar).

Hartford to impose 9 p.m. curfew on people under 18 in wake of weekend shootings. It occurs to me that if somebody under 18 is capabale and willing to somebody that something like a curfew isn't really something they'd really care all that much about. I mean, it's an effort to do something about crime, but how effective is, "be home before 9" when you're dealing with immoral shitheads with weapons and a bad attitude?

The Trolls Among Us. Do internet trolls really warrant an actual news article? Really? I knew even as soon as I saw the headline that 4chan would be mentioned.

Teens totally not into Olympics. They're not the only ones. I don't give a shit about the Olympics. At least the summer games don't preempt or interfere with the stuff that I do care about on TV.

Judge: RIAA damages too high in innocent infringement case. Hundreds of dollars per song is ridiculous in any case.

The Top 6 "Celebrities"who shouldn't be famous. I found this one via Digg, and while it's pretty much spot on, the list could be much, much longer given how much "reality" crap is shoveled out these days.

UK TV producers slam ABC Studios memo. Wow, not only are they out of ideas so they rip off foreign TV for ideas, now they just want to rip the shows off completely without licensing the remakes.

'Lost' Stars Hoping to Find More Money. Now, I'm not commenting on whether or not the actors deserve more money. So put that aside. One of things I always said about LOST that worked in the producers' favor was the fact that by having lots of extras milling about as other, unknown plane crash survivors worked for them because if an actor got too difficult or wanted too much money they could just kill that character off. But now, they've painted themselves into a corner by having several characters they can't kill off, because we all know what happens to them later.

TV real estate: The bottom third of your screen. If we won't watch commercials, they'll force the ads on top of the stuff we watch. If it gets obnoxious enough I'll just wait for DVD.

Watch the HEROES scenes the strike rescued you from. YouTube vids taken from the UK version of the HEROES season two set's extras. You could probably find these in higher quality XviD format with the right sort of Google-fu. I haven't gotten around to watching these yet.

Seth Green and Breckin Meyer join HEROES. I tend to think of these two more in comedy roles. So it'll be interesting to see how that turns out.

MTV has started a comic book movie blog. Here's two interesting stories from that...

How to reboot the Superman movie franchise — comic writers chime in.

Joss Whedon talks about his 'Batman' movie that never was.
