Simon Pegg's geek roots show in SPACED. I think this was a cool interview.
FCC hearing: disagreement over the "broadband of tomorrow". I expect this sort of thing to drag on forever with no real improvements on the net we've got currently in the US. If anything, things will get worse.
Turns out porn isn't recession-proof. Only fools still pay for porn in the 21st century. No offense to my friends in the internet smut business, who are probably the only ones still turning a profit thanks to ad revenue, etc. Really though, why would anybody buy a porn DVD anymore?
New York says may sue Comcast over net child porn. I guess not stepping in line with the other ISPs to drop usenet fast enough annoys that attorney general who's looking to make a name for himself (by doing something absolutely ineffectual). Wouldn't all of this time and money be better spent going after these sickos directly?
MLB threatens guy who made a cool iPhone app for baseball fans. I hear that MLB are worse than the **AAs about this stuff. Here's a suggestion, if this application is so popular and they're so concerned about it cutting into their profits or copyright, why don't they just try to buy the application from the guy and make it an official thing?
