The Summer Of Mike Continues

It finally cooled off enough outside for me to venture out for some supplies on Wednesday. (Diet Coke was running dangerously low in the fridge.) It's still too hot for me though. But still, temperatures in the mid-80s and 70s are better than the 90s. Hot weather makes me more sluggish than usual. Considering how incredibly sluggish I normally am, that's pretty impressive.

With nothing on TV, I've spent the last few evenings watching more COUPLING on DVD. I've finished off the first two series and am about half way through the third. (In case anybody's wondering I've got the region 2 UK DVD set because at the time it was cheaper to import than it was to buy the region 1 US set.)

The other night, while looking around the house for something else, I stumbled across a box of old HEAVY METAL magazines from 1996-97. I vaguely recall a phase where I was picking it up towards the end of my tenure working at the comics shop. Anyway, those will make nice bathroom reading.

My brother informed me that Amazon shipped his copy of METAL GEAR SOLID 4, and that it will be arriving today. Hopefully he'll let me have a go at it. I'm still annoyed at him for shaving off his beard the other day. Not that I care whether he has a beard or not. I just thought it would be funny if he left the moustache like "Old Snake" for the first day of playing the game.
