Celeb Fun

Latin singer Ricky Martin says he is gay. Is there anybody who didn't already have that figured out? This announcement screams, "here's an atttempt revive my pretty much dead career". In related news, I've got an announcement as well... I've never liked his music. Wait, that's about as much of a "surprising announcement" as his.

Rip Torn exits rehab and pleads not guilty. But weren't there cameras in the bank he strolled intro drunk with a gun?

Entertainment

THE WALKING DEAD gets series pick-up. While I like AMC's shows like BREAKING BAD, and expect to like WALKING DEAD, since I'm a big fan of the comic, I wonder whatever happened to AMC. American Movie Classics. Particularly, the "movie" and "classics" part. Movies from a year ago, and a bunch of TV shows are really far removed from what the channel used to have. They rarely have old movies on there anymore, which sorta sucks.

ABC renews CASTLE for third season. Kinda surprising since it only gets so-so ratings. Still, it's one of those, "if I remember it's on I'll probably watch" shows for me.

The New TARDIS Interior – Like A Perforated Copper Kettle. I prefer the classic white room. This one doesn't look too different from the last one to me. Still it's better than the wooden one that Tom Baker had for a season.

Gillan: 'New WHO has amazing climax'. Insert inappropriate joke about how much I'd like to give Karen Gillan an amazing climax.

THE VENTURE BROS. season resumes in August, ends with one-hour special. That's a longer wait than I expected.

Big-ass developments will change CHUCK forever. Next week's episode will be what was supposed to be the season finale, before the order was extended.

Video Games

SPLINTER CELL: CONVICTION Launch Trailer. Two more weeks!!! TWO MORE WEEKS!!!

DEAD SPACE 2's creators discuss Isaac's voice, horror vs. action and much more. Looking forward to this game.

Layoffs hit KANE & LYNCH, HITMAN developer

Miyamoto: Violent games may damage “the potential of what games can do”. The guy is a legend, and has made some of the best and most important games of all time. That having been said, he seems to be stuck in the early 80's mindset when it comes to thinking about games. He's been churning out kiddie games with the same characters for thirty years now. Video games have evolved from something for mostly kids to different genres for all sorts of age groups.

Two Videos Of Kids Performing

Still Alive is adorable when sung by a large mass of kids. Given the lyrics, it's bit odd that a school let a bunch of little kids sing this.

Similar concept, except horrifiying... Oh the horror: Elementary school production of SCARFACE? Wow, this is just awful.

The Rest

Back when broadcast TV tried to convince the world that cable was a monster. Now the concept of "free" is horrifying to those same broacasters.

Cable ISPs: new broadband test makes our service look slow. So does reality. Duh.

Why do so many criminals wear Spider-Man Masks? Was the Daily Bugle right all along? I'd imagine the covering of the whole face makes them particularly appealing.
