You know those crappy new cases more and more discs are coming in? Looks like Nintendo is using them too. Here's Nintendo's Enviro-Friendly Game Case [Update]. You know what would be more environmentally friendly than making the cases less protective of discs? Ditching those cardboard slipcovers most DVDs and Blu-rays come in. I'd say that 75% of the movies I got on DVD and Blu for Christmas had those stupid things. Unless the art is different on the cardboard than the actual case, i usually throw them out. (For instance both STAR TREK and GI JOE had different covers under the cardboard.)

Comcast settles P2P throttling class-action for $16 million. Now I wish somebody would sue them over the bandwidth caps.
Shoppers were online, not at malls, last weekend. Net shopping is the way to go. No crowded malls. No sales tax.

NBC affiliates don't want Leno. That's the sort of headline that makes me smile.
Anti-loud commercial law passes the House. Another one that makes me smile. I hate when commercials are a lot louder than the show.
U.S. premiere of SURVIVORS - February 13, BBC America. I've had this entire series sitting on my hard drive since each episode aired, and still haven't gotten around to watching more than the first episode. I did watch the entire original show a few years ago though.
How James Cameron put down a mutiny on the set of ALIENS. For such a great movie, it sounds like making it was a miserable experience.

New GRAND THEFT AUTO At E3? It'd be nice if they could get the next game in the series out in 2010, but I bet we won't see it until 2011.
No DEAD SPACE 2 in 2010? I just replayed the first one over the weekend. Good game.
BioWare on the decline of the JRPG. They have a point that most JRPGs haven't evolved from the 8-bit days, except in terms of graphics.
Insane Christian group wants to ban MODERN WARFARE 2. They sound like a rational, reasonable group. If you're completely retarded or insane.
The most pirated video game of 2009 - it's MODERN WARFARE 2 in a landslide. Considering how short single player is, I'd say pirating is a bit justifiable on this one.
Kids tell Obama they want games for christmas, he asks tough questions. He wants to know if anybody wants a bike anymore. What sort of kid plays outside in the 21st century? (Obama and the game-crazy christmas kids, now in video form)
Simon Pegg: LEFT 4 DEAD 2 is 'all kinds of awesome'. I still haven't played it. I'll get around to picking it up eventually.

How is it you can post so much about BBC/BBC America programming, and yet not mention Top Gear? It's the best show on the channel (nee: most of television) and myself nor anyone in my house is a car fanatic, yet they all agree.

Never seen TOP GEAR. Honestly, I almost never watch BBC America, because the few shows they do air on there that I would watch, I already own on DVD (usually imported) or have downloaded and watched. Although sometimes when flipping through and seeing something like BLACK BOOKS or a particularly good DOCTOR WHO is on, I might stop and watch.
