Since I haven't done one of these in awhile, there's lots of links this time around.

NOT GOING OUT is back from the dead. It's nice to see a cancellation get reversed!
LIFE.com’s unseen James Bond auditions photographs. Maybe I'm just too used to the idea of Lazenby in his one outing as Bond, but the other guys didn't even come close.
New CHUCK poster: Kick it!. I like the painted one from Comic Con this year. I wish there was a 27x40 version of it out for sale.
ALIEN Blu-ray to feature Sigourney Weaver commentary. Well, newer commentary than the one in the old DVD box set anyway.
THE LORD OF THE RINGS Blu-ray set for April. I'm sure that'll sell well. While I saw all three in theaters, I'm not that into them to be honest. I've just never been big on the sword and sorcery genre.
Video Games
1up has a new HEAVY RAIN preview. They've also got a new BIOSHOCK 2 preview. Both sound really good.
HEAVY RAIN might be supported with DLC. Given the nature of the game, DLC seems like an odd move.
SPLINTER CELL CONVICTION CE features little Sam, infiltration mode. If it doesn't add much more to the price, it might be worth it. Meanwhile, SPLINTER CELL CONVICTION demo due in January.
Science: UNCHARTED 2 is the best game of 2009. I'm really leaning towards getting this game, since I hear so much good stuff about it.
LEFT 4 DEAD 2 DLC 'THE PASSING' to feature L4D1 cast. They're not playable though, you'll just meet up with them.
New SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV screens take to Chun-Li's face. I don't know if I'm going to bother grabbing this game. I haven't even played the regular SF4 as much as I thought that I would've.
Capcom shows off alternate RE5 garb. Meh.
BATMAN: ARKHAM ASYLUM follow-up revealed at VGAs. I still haven't played the first one!
Rumor: DEAD SPACE 2 info extracted from Game Informer. I wanna replay the first DEAD SPACE soon.
Games improve kids’ reasoning and processing abilities. You know, when they're not "training kids to become killers" or whatever whacko theories uptight idiots have, that is.

ASCAP seeks licensing fee from GUITAR HERO ARCADE operator. Unbelievable. I'm certain they're working on trying to charge people for thinking about songs they've heard. Hey, maybe the Vice President can help them out with that...
Biden convenes 'piracy summit' that appears to be entirely one-sided. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the man is a complete shill for the movie studios. They own him, and he will try to push through any law that they want.
Here's an article that really puts the money spent on this into perspective: Congress to pay $30 million to fight piracy. 30 million dollars spent in a futile attempt to appease campagin contributers, really.
Just remember, when they pass these laws, and the movie industry is crying poor and claiming their business is being destroyed: MPAA enjoys record breaking profits – again! We're talking to the tune of over 10 billion dollars. Sounds like their accounting practices are far more creative than anything they put on the screen. (Granted, it isn't too hard to be more creative than Hollywood, since they're completely out of ideas. Hence all the remakes and adapatations of kids toys from the 80's.)
Now, to be fair: People don't want to pay for content online, ever. They don't even want to watch ads on online content.
Record label sues Google, Microsoft for copyright infringement. Because linking to a link that you automatically indexed is "copyright infringement". Pfft.
The Rest
Your kids are bumming out the mall Santa. Hell, I got bummed out after reading this.
U.S. teens ignore laws against texting while driving. If they weren't a danger to others, I'd say let Darwinism take it's course.
Retrans 101 or why your cable and satellite bills will be skyrocketing. There's always an excuse to increase the cable bill. Always!
AOL in talks with Russian investment firm on ICQ. Does anybody even use ICQ anymore? I can't even remember my ICQ#. The only instant messenger service I really used, even though I had accounts on all of them, was AIM.
