Misc

Next Firefox update to check plugins. I needed to update Flash. I wouldn't have given it a second thought if I hadn't read this article.

Best. Mugshot. Ever. Wow. Just wow.

Entertainment

TIME Cover Story: “Jay Leno is the Future of TV. Seriously”. Honestly, between this unfunny hack wasting five hours of primetime TV a week and the glut of "reality" garbage, if that crap is the future then I guess in the future I'll be watching far less TV. So really, that's not a bad thing. That'll give me more time to devote to movies, video games, the net, and poker.

Roger Moore eyes DR WHO role. I don't even know how to react to this.

V: Not original, official. The original's creator will get his credit and paid. Good for him!

Chuck's 3rd Season May Be Stunt-Casting Central. Again. I thought they had to cut their budget this year, that was part of the deal to get a third (and shorter) season. So what's with all the guest actors? On the other hand, it's not like the previous two seasons didn't have a bunch of familiar actors in guest roles.

Shatner & Nimoy talk STAR TREK movie & more at DragonCon – Video. I think Shatner and Nimoy should do a buddy comedy movie. Or a reality show where they have to live together. I'd watch that.

REAPER's Bret Harrison is all over his new project, a comedy for CBS. Two seasons. At least that's how long THE LOOP and REAPER lasted.

Mike Judge speculates on the future of BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD. Like SOUTH PARK, B&B is one of those things that started off funny, got annoying when the mouth-breathing massses started quoting it constantly, and then became funny again once it stopped being trendy.

Video Games

Video games are evil, says guy who made a lot of money creating video games. Well, he created GUNDAM, and there's been a lot of video games based on that. Still, I'd say games are no more "evil" than the books and cartoons this guy created.

PAX 2009: Sam Fisher to see green again. I'm glad we'll get the use the night vision google again in the new game.

Details on LEFT 4 DEAD 2's Carnival campaign. Kotaku has a lengthy write-up about this level too: LEFT 4 DEAD 2 Impressions: Jockeys And Swords

Pachter expects GTA 5 coming in 2010. My guess is 2011.

Rockstar includes AGENT among 2010 releases. Sounds like 2010 is going to be more expensive on the gaming budget than I thought the late fall and Christmas season of this year was going to be.
