Entertainment

Watch the new trailer for A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. I'm still amused that the kid from the BAD NEWS BEARS movies was Rorschach and now Freddy Krueger. This looks like a pretty faithful remake of the first one, which is the only really good one from the original series. After that it became too jokey and silly.

V in trouble again. Expect to see fewer episodes. Or V gets cut in two - more signs of trouble? I was looking forward to this show, but clearly ABC doesn't plan on keeping it around for long. I might not bother investing the time if that's the case. Seriously, the whole 3-4 episodes and then hold back the rest until Spring thing was a disaster for LOST in season 3.

Watch some footage from this probably doomed show: Morena Baccarin is your alien icon in new "V" clips. Morena looked a lot better with longer hair like she had on FIREFLY.

What good is having 3.7 million Twitter followers if nobody watches your TV show? Which is in reference to DOLLHOUSE returns to lowest ever ratings. Yikes. I was one of the few million watching the show Friday night.

Digitalspy asks: Has HEROES finally jumped the shark? From the sound of this article, all the things that made me ditch the show are still going on.

Video Games

Capcom's Inafune says Japan's games industry is 'finished'. Huh. Capcom is the one Japanese developer putting out games this generation that I love (STREET FIGHTER IV, RESIDENT EVIL 5, DEAD RISING, etc). Still, he does have a point that over the last decade the Western developers have caught up and surpassed the once dominant Japanese in the video game world.

ALPHA PROTOCOL delayed to summer 2010? Fine by me if it is. MODERN WARFARE 2 and the GTA IV: EPISODES FROM LIBERTY CITY are probably going to eat up my gaming dollars anyway.

TGS 2009: Hands-on: SPLINTER CELL CONVICTION. I was re-playing the first SPLINTER CELL last night on the 360. It's aged better than I expected. Anyway this preview has me even more excited about the game. I've always dug the SC series.

SUPER STREET FIGHTER IV screenshots appear! Well, who didn't see this sort of thing coming?

One More Thing

Meanwhile in the US: Ignoring RIAA lawsuits cheaper than going to trial. Basically, you'll still have to pay, but much less than you'd pay if you showed up, and that's not even including lawyer fees.
