I didn't realize that I hadn't update in a few days. Between poker (nasty losing streak), watching movies, and not being home, I sort of forgot about the site.

Entertainment

Fan Rant: Rob Zombie to remake 'THE BLOB' minus the Blob. All he's done are remakes. HALLOWEEN was a remake. Let's be honest, HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES was essentially THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE in all but name.

V - Why was filming really shut down? Originally, it was claimed that they wanted to punch up the scripts to make them as good as the pilot, but now they're saying it's because the producers want to claim the show isn't a remake and not credit the creator of the original mini-series and show. That sucks.

GALAXY QUEST announced for Blu-ray. Which is why I didn't bother upgrading my original edition DVD for the new version that came out recently. Definitely a buy for me, I love this movie.

HBO (distributed by Warner) bringing THE SOPRANOS: The Complete First Season to Blu-ray in November. The first two seasons are worth the upgrade to Blu-ray. After that, the show goes downhill. Hard. Still, I have the DVDs and never watch them, so this is a low-priority buy for me.

Who Summer Glau will play on DOLLHOUSE and more. Everybody knew that's exactly where she was headed when TERMINATOR was canceled.

LEVERAGE hired for a third season on TNT. I hope season three will be better than this season. Personally, and I've got a friend who agrees, the show isn't all that interesting this year.

Big-screen Superman suiting up to join small-screen CHUCK. It's a long wait until Spring.

Video Games

U.S. gov thinking about unified rating system for most media. Since I'm (very) over the age of 18 and don't have any children, ratings are absolutely meaningless to me. Oh well, if having unified ratings makes it harder for idiots to blame entertainment for society's ills, I'm all for it.

No FINAL FANTASY VII remake yet, but possibilities have been discussed. Unless it had a battle system like XII and XIII, I doubt I'd want to get a remake.

Big Business (Not An Euphemism)

Banks once "too big to fail" now even bigger after meltdown. Kinda makes you want to wretch, doesn't it?

Speaking of wretched... Copyright industry stacks town hall meeting in their favour. Shocking. Not really.
