Those Guys

Moby explains RIAA mindset: Please make the future die. I can take or leave his music, but he really did nail their philosophy.

Studios win ruling over RealNetworks' DVD copying. Considering that DVD's lifespan is nearing it's end, to be replaced by streaming and Blu-ray, and that DVD copying has been easy for most of its lifespan, this whole thing seems like an exercise in futility.

I Found These Funny

Man burns down house after mother tosses out Gundam models. Well, that sounds like a perfectly rational and reasonable reaction. Yeeeeeah...

Big trouble for Superman. I never thought of this, but it's damned clever.

The Ballad of G.I. Joe. Seriously, look at that cast list. I'm amazed at some of the people they got to do this. You probably haven't lived until you've seen Vinnie Jones as Destro playing a clarinet.

Entertainment

V producers 'may cast original actors'. Well, that could be really cool, or really awful. Hopefully we'll find out.

KICK-ASS prepares to kick studio ass. Amusing that no studio wanted to make this movie, but then after it got made and got a good response at Comic-Con, there's a bidding war over it.

Frank Darabont is dead (but walking). THE WALKING DEAD is becoming a TV series on AMC!

After 22 years - the SPACED and RED DWARF shop closes… Kind of sad news. I would've liked to have gone there someday. Oh well.

Video Games

2K Boston's next project is a shooter. Well, technically, BIOSHOCK was a shooter. Just an above and beyond excellent shooter.

Between the news of The Walking Dead TV show and the Ballad of G.I. Joe this is pretty much the best post ever.
