And thats why poker is incredibly stupid.
Helmuth is a piece of shit. Not to cast doubt on his skill, which has been proven for so many years, but he was such a cunt especially in that clip. I remember watching the WSOP last year. Dragomir isn't a shitty player, either.
I'm pretty much under the impression that most of the bluster and complaining is to play up to the cameras. And it works. They certainly focus on him. It makes for better TV than the vast legions of players who calmly sit there. Most people say that he's a really nice guy away from the poker table.
I can relate to his frustration. Losing most or all of your stack when you've got something like AA, AK, or KK and some donk with 72 offsuit will call any raise right to the very end (because there was a 2 on the flop) and gets lucky and sucks out is incredibly rage inducing.
The difference is that Dragomir won on the 10-4 offsuit, which has been incredibly killer for him that entire episode. He beat like a few other great players with the exact hand, when the others had better hole cards pre-flop. That's why everyone else was laughing.
That might be true, about him being a nice guy away from the table. But that's hardly an excuse when he's an express dick to other players. I laugh each year he gets kicked.
