Entertainment And Video Games
SCRUBS goes back to school. It really does sound like it'll be a completely different show, which is what the creator said it would be when it was announced that it was going to continue past its "final" episode this year.
Discuss: Uncle Ben's original killer is returning for SPIDER-MAN 4. I thought the addition of Sandman as being responsible in S-M3 was a horrible addition. Then again, that third movie also eroded any interest I have in seeing a fourth movie in the series.
David Cross creates UK television comedy with Spike Jonze and Will Arnett. Sounds like something I'll be watching (via download).
Trouble for our HEROES: Bryan Fuller quits the NBC superhero show. Who cares? Honestly, I thought his much trumpeted return to the show was all hype with no leap in quality. The episodes after he came back were just as bad, maybe even worse than the rest of season three (and two!). I dunno, I guess maybe I think the guy is a bit over-rated? Anyway, this reminds me that I plan on skipping HEROES this year. So feel free to give me a hard time if I start watching that junk and writing about it when it returns in the fall.
GRAND THEFT AUTO: CHINATOWN WARS coming to PSP. Yay. I guess.
Music Biz Craziness
Variable iTunes pricing a moneymaker for artists. Imagine how much more these bands would be making if they took the record labels and RIAA out of the equation.
Woman with no computer 'settles' with RIAA over piracy claim. Is it really "settling" if the settlement was for $0?
ASCAP demands additional performance tax for ringtones. The music industry has officially lost its mind. I mean, wanting to charge you for a "public performance" for listening to music that you already paid for?
Not music, but related enough... More BitTorrent users go anonymous. Not really a surprise. People will always be a minimum of one step ahead of the corporations.
