Circuit City orders all stores to destroy issue of Mad Magazine parodying "Sucker City". I guess they don't have much of a sense of humor.
Warning Sign: Metered broadband already a hassle. NBC is making video footage of the Olympics available, but threw in a note indicating that if you're on metered bandwidth, you probably shouldn't bother trying to watch. This sort of thing is only going to get worse as more ISPs try to get more money out of us for less service.
RIAA - FCC ruling means ISPs can filter piracy like everyone else. Huh? Wasn't the FCC basically saying that the ISPs can't impede people from downloading whatever they want, legal or otherwise? It had nothing to do with illegal downloading, and it was all about all downloading being equal. Idiots like the RIAA are still free to try and sue people, the FCC just voted against making the Comcast deciding what content can come through at what speeds.
