Super-Size Links For 7-26-2008

A ton of links today. Blame it on all the San Diego Film And TV event, errr Comic-Con. Then couple that with the normal amount of interesting news stories I find each day.

Here's a fun little video for you kids: Wrestlers need a chair and fans deliver. You don't see that every day.

Arkansas Pulls Hundreds Of 'Racist' License Plates. That's some unfortunate random letter assigning right there.

Republican congresswoman claims terrorists communicating via Japanese video game sites. She's also claiming they use porn sites for the same thing. How do these idiots get elected? Seriously. How?

Michael Ironside's SPLINTER CELL role, game's script still up in the air. All of these delays can't be good.

Rumor: Ratner to turn GOD OF WAR film into geek tragedy. Well, it's not likely that anybody was going to make a good movie out of that game anyway. So they might as well just give it to a hack to make.

THE DARK KNIGHT spurs increase in DVD revenue leading up to premiere. Hmmm.

Spam king and family dead in apparent murder-suicide. Why do assholes like to take other people with them when they decide to shuffle off this mortal coil?

Senator fuses controversial IP bills into big, bad package. Unsurprisingly, this senator is in the pocket of big media via large campaign contributions.

Meanwhile, somewhat contrary to that... Hammer drops at last: FCC opposes Comcast P2P throttling.

PUNISHER: WAR ZONE movie clip - Comic-Con 08 footage. Holy shit! Much better than that first trailer. Now I actually want to see this movie. There's also another trailer that doesn't have as much action. Of course, then there's this bit of information about the movie: Lionsgate boots PUNISHER director

'When does Jack Bauer take a whizz?' Hey, it's a reasonable question!

SPACED crew talks STAR WARS, sitcom history, and illegal downloading. Without "illegal" downloading I wouldn't have ever gotten into SPACED and legally imported the DVDs to begin with.

9/11 killed Bryan Singer's BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. I think this worked out for the best, don't you? I think Singer is overrated and the people who did wind up with BSG did a really good job.

MGM unwraps James Bond Blu-ray art. For your eyes only. Yuk yuk. I slay me.

New ROCKNROLLA trailer - plus, funniest moments from comic con presentation. Looks like a return to LOCK STOCK and SNATCH-style glory.

Should movie ratings be overhauled? Well, the ratings on movies seem arbitrary.

HAROLD AND KUMAR 3 announced. I liked the first two, so I'll catch this. (Probably not until it hits home video though.)

Producer: ALPHA PROTOCOL similar but different from MASS EFFECT. I've been looking forward to this game since I first read about it.

Comic-Con 08: Brand new RESIDENT EVIL: DEGENERATION trailer makes me feel itchy. I'm looking forward to this on DVD. If it hits theaters I don't see myself bothering.
