I've been doing some minor tinkering with this page.
First, I moved the Twitter widget to the bottom of the sidebar. It was causing everything else to load slowly (or not at all). Maybe once Twitter seems to work out whatever server issues they're having this week I'll move that back up.
In the Twitter widget's place I moved the links to my other stuff. Once I can find or make some good icons for those services I'll switch over to icons instead of plain text for those links. I just think that sort of thing looks nicer.
I also moved the Amazon search boxes up and put them side by side.
Capitalist swine that I am, I also added some new stuff to both of my Amazon recommendations lists.
I added a few links to the sidebar. I've got a bunch in a text file that I want to add, but until the categories list gets longer, everything would look lopsided if I did that. I might just create a links page, so I can link to all of the stuff that just doesn't fit on the sidebar, but that I think is worth visiting. (It'll probably be a blog entry with a permanant menu link to it. I'm not sure if updating it will make it reload in RSS readers though. I don't want it to do that.)
I experimented with 3 columns along the footer, but I wasn't happy with those results. Ditched that.
