Chrome - I'm Sticking With Firefox For Now

All of the hype about Google's new Chrome browser has me curious, but not curious enough to switch from Firefox.

Firefox works great, plus I can't imagine browsing without all of the extensions and customizations I've got in my browsers. Seriously, I can't imagine just browsing the web without AdBlock Plus, Greasemonkey, and Stylish. That's not even taking consideration Firefox extensions that make running a website easier like "Copy as HTML link" or Affiliator.

Then again, Google always has a way of eventually wearing me down. I switched from Bloglines to Google Reader, from my domain mail to Gmail, and from my own webhosting to Blogger. None of which I had planned to do. In fact, after initially trying each of those things I went back to my old, familiar online appication. (The only Google product I've tried that I never adopted permanently is Google Talk/Chat whatever it's called. I still have the account, I just never use it. Then again, I don't really use any IM at all anymore.) So, I'm sure eventually I'll cave on the Chrome thing.

Anyway, I'm curious if any of you have tried out Chrome and what your impressions of it have been so far.

I tried "chrome" and I didn't care for it. I liked one feature which was the "recently visited pages" but not enough to replace all the other features I would lose from switching from firebox.

It's poop.. for now

Yeah, like I said, I can't see any compelling reason to make the switch. Normally, I'd install it and at least check it out, but I still haven't bothered.

Chrome sure is getting a lot of hype and attention all over the internet though.

I have been using Chrome for a couple of days. I'm forcing myself to use it for a week to give it a fair chance. The look is sleek and streamlined. I really like that. But no extensions is seriously killing me. I always find myself wanting to zoom in on pictures, or block flash ads, etc. But I'm sure that eventually these things will be available. I just like the fact that it doesn't eat memory like Firefox does. Granted 3 does a better job, but still... I know I will go back to Firefox after a weeks worth of use.
